7 Card Stud Hi-Lo (Also Seven Card Stud High Low H-L-8)
7 card stud high low follows the same model as seven card stud, the only difference can be observed at the exposing of the cards by the end of the game in the players' hands, where the bankroll is split evenly between the player possessing the highest hand and the lowest hand, of course, in case any low hand presents at the table.
A player may have low as well as high hand at the same time.
In a seven card stud hi/lo as well as in a common 7 card stud, everyone gets seven cards in five rounds, players must compose their best hi or low 5 card poker hand using the cards they got from the dealer.
The game begins with a small obligatory bet, which is made by all the players at the table and each player gets two cards, which could be seen by the player alone and one more card, which could be seen by everyone.
The player with the highest up card enters the betting first with forced bet, which is also called bring in and then play moves in a clockwise direction with gamblers either calling the bring-in, completing the bet (raising to the lower limit) or throwing cards away. The player has a possibility to make three re-raises in any betting round.
Then players still in the hand is dealt another up card, then goes another round of betting that begins with the player whose up cards make the best hand. Since there are no more then 5 cards, dealt face-up, flushes, straights, four of one kind are impossible.
After it a third card is dealt face up and it is followed by one more betting round, then a fourth up card is dealt and it is again followed by a round of betting. Finally, a down card is dealt. This is followed by the final round of betting and then its turn for a final showdown.
At the exposing of the cards in the players' hands opponents must compile their best combinations consisting of 5 cards out of the seven, which lay at the table.
